Trafalgar Park Arts

Exhibition of Contemporary and Local Artists

Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Trafalgar Park Arts exhibition of Contemporary and Local Artists.

Trafalgar Park Arts is the brainchild of artist Rupert Muldoon who is putting Trafalgar Park firmly on the map as a cultural venue for the visual arts. He wanted to showcase up and coming contemporary artists and invited the Wilton Hunt to join forces with him following a hugely successful art show they organised at the house some five years ago.

The Wilton boasts some extremely talented artists in it’s midst not least its Senior Master, Mark Hankinson, who’s love of hounds, hunting and South Africa is evident in his stunning work. He is giving up the horn at the end of this season in order to concentrate on his career as an artist.

This exhibition is a celebration of all that is new and promising in these contemporary artists and highlights a wealth of local talent the Wilton Hunt is proud to be associated with.

We are very grateful to Michael Wade, owner of Trafalgar Park, who has long been a generous supporter of the Hunt hosting meets every year, Hunt Balls and receptions, as well as the last art show.

We are also extremely grateful to Chesterton Humberts for their generous sponsorship of the event.

A donation from the proceeds will be made to Beating Bowel Cancer, a charity that helped Rupert recover from the condition in 2010.

The Wilton Hunt is a small friendly hunt in rural Wiltshire/Dorset/Hampshire south of Salsibury. Its country stretches from the beautiful Cranborne chase to the Avon Valley including the Radnor and Cranborne estates.

Few days are without jumps to enjoy but there is always a friendly crowd of non-jumper who follow hounds closely. We have members of all ages and particularly welcome children and younger people to the Hunt.  A dedicated band of foot followers are a great asset to the Wilton and a large number follow in 4x4's, cars, bicycles, and even on foot.
